JUNE (ooc: 06/01/2014 | yj: 06/19/2016)

On June 19th, 2016 (Earth-16 Time) Cassie arrived in the Draubworld (Eachdraidh's game setting) as a shard bearer (a person from another world who is born carrying a fragment of crystal- a shard -from the draubworld, albeit unknowingly) for the Seelie court. The Draubworld operates on its own dating system though Cassie continued to keep track of Earth time during her stay.

To anyone not privy to the true intentions and natures of the opposing courts the Seelie represented order and knightly codes while the Unseelie upheld chaos and more outwardly selfish motivations. Shard bearers were outsiders brought in from other worlds either by abduction (Unseelie) or voluntarily (Seelie). The power of each outsider's shard, when combined with their own strength, was believed to be what would make all the difference in turning the tides of the war.

After arriving her first act was to gather information and try to locate any other members of the Team who may have also been abducted. She found none of the latter during her first three days.

Despite learning of the ongoing war between the factions of the Seelie and Unseelie courts Cassie decided to form her own opinions about the world and the people in it, regardless of faction. It turned out to be a good decision since one of her friends from home was recruited into the opposing faction despite the fact that she was one of the "good guys", proving that things were not nearly as cut-and-dry as they were led to believe. It wasn't just a matter of "us versus them".

By the fourth day she was contacted by Kaldur'ahm (Aqualad), who then informed her of the discrepancies in the timeline and warned her to be cautious when addressing others from "home". With no way of knowing for certain if the people they encountered from home were the true versions they knew or if they were from an earlier or later point- maybe even another universe entirely -it became imperative to use caution. Cassie also decided that it would be wise not to use her hero moniker during the duration of her stay, from then on permanently taking up her civilian identity. The plus side to this was that since there were literally hundreds of shardbearers and ex-shard bearers who came from countless other worlds there was no need to hide their powers.

Much of her first month was spent just meeting others and learning about the world, though two interactions of particular note were with Korra and Jason Grace. Korra would later go on to become one of Cassie's sparring partners and travel companions, as well as a fast friend. Jason, on the other hand, turned out to be a demigod son of Jupiter from another version of Earth (as far as she could gather) where modern day demigods were hardly all that uncommon. Upon discovering this the two had no problems with adopting one another as half-siblings, Cassie already being somewhat quick to befriend others and Jason being accustomed to SURPRISE SIBLINGS! Having grown up an only child (though not unhappy) Cassie was eager to get to know him better and the two spent some time together that month doing just that.

JULY

In July Cassie was asked by Korra to join her group (namely herself, Kaldur, Bolin, Mako, Hermione Granger, and John Grimm) to help out with Korra's new quest. This would later turn out to be part one of a major two part adventure, taking place in the catacombs under the Seelie court castle (Caer Glaem). Cassie did her part by scouting ahead since she was the only one in the group who was able to fly, making it a much quicker task for her. The rest of her time during the trek she spent getting to know her travel companions, forming friendships with Bolin, Mako, and John teaching each other some of the ear bugs from their worlds like "Secret Tunnel" and "Eye of the Tiger" and "Call Me Maybe". The quest was a success. They found a spirit in need of being returned to its body, thus completing their underground road trip and kicking off part one and a half, Cassie's favorite! RESEARCH!

Part two of Korra's quest was not nearly as straightforward as part one. They had to find clues about where to start looking for the dragon spirit's body, who was guarding it, what had happened to it, and what they were going to do when they found it. This is also around the time that the court monarchs sent out notices via faries and imps that the shardbearers were being given the opportunity to ask for one boon. Cassie took the chance to ask for a pegasus, thinking a flying companion would be pretty cool and could also come in really useful if any of her non-flying friends ever found themselves needing a lift. Cassie was informed, however, that they had been hunted to near extinction. The only way to find one would be to locate their guardians- the Sylph -and befriend them. She wanted to start on it right away but she talked herself into keeping her priorities straight. The pegasai herds were being looked after for the time being, but her friends needed her help now. Still, she wouldn't turn down any information that she MIGHT come across if the opportunity arose.

Finally, while the group was digging down into their info search Kaldur put out a call to the Seelie court to ask for information and Cassie stumbled across their first clue in one of the books she was reading. This clue would eventually lead them right into the heart of a providence known as "Redgate".

*Cassie also turned 15 on July 24th (the date itself is headcanon, as canon never gives an official one and simply states that she was born "sometime" in 2011). It was close enough to Earth time so she counted it. The celebration was a small, hand waved party with some of her friends.

AUGUST

At the very beginning of the month Cassie set out with the rest of the quest group (again: Korra, Kaldur, Mako, Bolin, John, and Hermione). They set out for a neutral territory, a mining city called "Redgate" to meet with the leader and discuss the dragon's release. They discovered that a substance that they mined, known as Red Granite, dampened all magical abilities such as their lockets and Cassie's flying ability, leaving the group at an unexpected disadvantage. Once there they sat down and spoke with the ruler, Alyosha. Being there as more of a backup role Cassie was following the senior members of the team and let them handle the diplomacy, but in the end it didn't go over in their favor. They were granted permission to stay but negotiations didn't go the way that they'd hoped. Everything just became more complicated when the opposing Unseelie faction arrived and- after a tense joint dinner with Alyosha and both courts' representatives, had their own audience with Alyosha. John listened in on the conversation and learned that the Unseelie were likely to have their way. This prompted a poorly hatched plan to get to the dragon before Alyosha and the Unseelie could find and kill it.

Hermione elected to stay behind and it was decided that Cassie would also stay to protect her and to get Appa out of Redgate when the others made their escape. The very morning that Korra and the others set out for the mountain Cassie and Hermione were arrested by the castle guard, with Cassie downplaying her powers and going along willingly. Her plan was to break them out once the commotion of the dragon being freed started, but things kept going downhill for the Seelie group one after the other.

Before Korra could safely wake the dragon the Unseelie arrived, and soon enough they had an out-and-out battle on their hands. The resulting commotion led to the deaths of hundreds of miners and villagers, including the supposed death of Alyosha herself. One of the Unseelie- Ganondorf -showed up in the Redgate dungeon to take custody of Hermione and Cassie, giving them a rough, rounded off guesstimate of the death toll. Even though the news came as something of a sucker punch Cassie still had a job to do (protect Hermione and get Appa out). After a brief exchange of words they were "escorted" out of the dungeon and out of Redgate where Cassie finally made her move.

She put up a good fight but they were still too close to the Red Granite for her to be able to fly (since that specific skill was considered magic by Draubworld logic). He managed to knock her unconscious and into a nearby deep ravine where he then left her for dead. His primary target was Hermione from the start. If Cassie weren't made of such tough stuff the fall might have actually killed her. Instead she came to some time after dark and began searching for the pair. She had no luck tracking them down and she personally blamed herself for Hermione's capture. Meanwhile, Cassie was stuck making the trek back to Seelie land on her own, no Appa, a missing locket (a magical locket granted to all shard bearers upon arrival as a means of communication)- so no communication, and no flying until she was out of range of the granite.

She was plagued by concern for Hermione and the others almost the whole while. Anything that might have happened to the witch during that time would have been as good as blood on Cassie's hands, and she had no idea what became of the others after, but in the end they were fortunate and it turned out Hermione was rescued.

SEPTEMBER

Trying to find her way back after coming to wasn't the easiest, she lost some time out on her own. Consider this- she had to hoof it back up out of the ravine because she still couldn't fly, then the first thing she wanted to do was try to find Hermione and that wasn't exactly a speedy process by foot but damn it she was going to try.

She admitted defeat days later only reluctantly and found herself facing her second major problem. She had no map, no direction, no communication device- she'd gotten herself lost and stranded in what was probably now enemy territory. The only option was to sneak back to the ravine to eventually find her locket. Once she was a safe distance away she reached out to the others and found out that everything had turned out alright somehow, except for the utter failure of Korra's quest to save the dragon. Good news at last!

The bad news? Then some mischievous faries got her all turned around so that in the end it took her some time to find her way back to the others. (The OOC explanation for all of this was an unofficial hiatus at the time.)

When she finally reunited with Korra again the two had a sit down and Korra filled her in on what she'd missed. Sensing Korra's frustration about the way the quest had turned out Cassie finally got around to telling Korra about her own quest, asking for her help. She had rightly figured that getting away from Caer Glaem and "doing something productive" would help Korra feel better. It still took them a while to get things going officially but the first steps had finally been taken.

OCTOBER

Mostly uneventful, no significant development happened here. This is about the point that her lasso went missing and she was granted a second boon (her cloak of invisibility) for helping to collect the bird king's lost feathers (it was literally that simple), but there was SAMHAIN! The biggest- literally biggest -party event of the year in Draubworld happens every year near the end of this month. Most of Draubworld was busy making preparations and shard bearers weren't really any different. It lasts for days and during that time all parties have a sort of temporary ceasefire in place. The event spans the entirety of the world with transport being a simple matter of stepping into the shadows... though where one emerges is a bit up to chance. Needless to say Cassie joined in on the fun. After giving everyone a day to recover Cassie held a mission briefing in her room with the folks who'd agreed to accompany her on her quest.

Jason, Kaldur, Korra, Bolin, Mako, and Jinora all agreed to tag along. They set out bright and early on November 2nd. The quest took about a week to complete, and if Cassie had stuck around in game after that she would have returned to court with her new companion, and followed up by asking the monarchs what she could have done to further help protect the pegasai herds. As it is this is the point where I dropped from the game, though.

PERSONALITY: You really only need one word to describe Cassie, and from it you can trace the motivation that drives her other traits as well. That word is "eager". Eager to make friends, eager to do right, eager to make her mother, mentor, and seniors proud, eager to do well, eager to help her team, and eager to prove herself. Wonder Girl just doesn't really DO things halfway unless she really has to. Some of this can likely be blamed on her age, but mostly she just has a pretty typical "E"/extroverted personality type.

In canon Cassie is the type that defaults to thinking with her mouth first instead of her head. She talks out loud to herself when she's trying to puzzle her way through a tough situation or personal dilemma. She's most likely to rush into a problem headfirst, or might overlook an important but seemingly small or insignificant at the time detail. Only through intense training with Wonder Woman, and later on her time in Draubworld, has Cassie gained enough self control and restraint over some of her louder and more dominant traits to shape up into becoming Wonder Girl. There are still times even now when someone has to remind her "A little less fan-girl and a little more Wonder Girl." or you might hear the current team leader commenting that while her enthusiasm is appreciated it's not the right fit for the current job. Her desire to help probably stems from wanting to have the approval and attention of those around her, to belong and to prove that she's got the chops to be a great hero as well.

She doesn't fit the cliche tough type tomboy mold, those who hide their emotions under a hard exterior twenty-four seven. She's always up for a challenge, ALWAYS, and she genuinely enjoys the physical side of her job. Her heart is worn on her sleeve. She's very candid and earnest. When she's happy she's exuberant. When she's feeling flirty or playful she acts on it. When she's nervous she spews whatever she's thinking. Thankfully she displays enough self awareness to recenter and focus after an initial freak out. She's even capable of multitasking between fighting and making battle-banter, but naturally she fights better when she's focused on the fighting.

Her teammates and her mentor mean a lot to her. It's implied that she still has respect for former members of the Team, even showing a deep sense of loss over Artemis and yet still a general lack of anger or aggression towards Kaldur unless they were fighting. those she hasn't met and those who supposedly flipped sides. She puts a great deal of trust in each and every one of them and respects the senior members (and former members) of the Team. Even so, Cassie knows how to speak her mind (most of the time she even knows WHEN is the right time to do so) and express doubts to them.

Underneath the zealous behavior and upbeat, confident attitude Cassie DOES seem to harbor some doubts and uncertainties regarding her place on and usefulness to the team. Though overall confident in herself Cassie is also still aware of her more glaring flaws as a hero (and a person) and is actively working on trying to overcome them at all times. She scolds herself like a person who should know better, further lending to a little bit of a good girl image. She always means well, but her emotions can get the best of her at times. She sometimes wishes she were more stealthy like the Batkids, and expresses a bit to herself jealously about the stealth and flair that some of her teammates display on missions, but despite her doubts Cassie displays the patience and level head needed to put her on par almost with the Bats. Her tactical training has provided her with the ability to improvise on the fly, so rather than flounder she's able to revise and recover if a mission goes south, and she does display a talent for stealth. She just needs to learn to curb her enthusiasm a bit more.

Cassie is proactive, courageous, and not afraid to live in the moment. When Arsenal asks what he'd need to do to earn a kiss as a reward Cassie responds by kissing his cheek and smiling in a flirty manner as she passes by him, taking him by surprise. It's later established that she has in fact been crushing on the Team's current incarnation of Robin for some time so Cassie clearly has no problem either playing the field or having a little fun.

At the end of the day Cassie is a sweet girl who just wants to do the right thing, protect her friends, and have a good time while they do it if possible. Cassie would go to bat and risk her neck for anyone but especially those she considers family and friends. You won't find a friend more loyal than Wonder Girl, so if you're ever in need of a "sometimes easily excitable but always dependable" sort for your team, Cassie's the one you'll want to call.

POWERS/ABILITIES: Cassie was born as a demigoddess, the daughter of a mortal woman and Zeus. As such most of her abilities are natural/biological. She's received training in stealth, tactics, and special ops.

  • Superhuman Strength: Her Partial Olympian flesh and bone is about one and a half times as dense as similar human tissue, contributing to the Olympians' superhuman strength and weight. She is able to rip two large, heavy hangar doors completely off of their hinges (each being way more than three, maybe four times her size), one in each hand without any assistance and seemingly little effort. In an earlier episode she was also able to use her lasso to rip the top half of alien machinery (some type of weapon/construction equipment combo) clean off, stop its momentum with one hand, and hurl it back with enough velocity to destroy the remaining half of the machine with it while in midair.

  • Expert Hand to Hand Combat: Cassie has been personally trained in hand to hand combat by Wonder Woman and has bested Devastation in battle at least once. She is also shown going toe-to-toe with Black Beetle, repeatedly getting back up until finally being rendered unconscious (only after being repeatedly, brutally slammed against doors made of some sort of alien metal similar to Black Beetle's armor).

  • Superhuman Durability: Due to her training and demigod heritage she is able to recover with superhuman speed meaning that Cassie is able to withstand falls from great heights and heavy impacts from blunt force.

  • Superhuman Reflexes: Cassie is able to react to and deflect bullets with great comfort. She is fast enough to deflect and catch bullets or laser beams even mid-flight or mid-conversation. This also contributes to her hand to hand skills.

  • Flight: Wonder Girl can also fly through the atmosphere through sheer act of will, enabling her to soar through the atmosphere at sub-orbital levels. She is extremely agile and capable of midair combat and a similar level of acrobatics to what she can do on the ground. She is immune from the effects of extreme height, such as dizziness and becoming lightheaded.

INVENTORY: Cassie would have been returning from the final leg of a quest at the time that I dropped from the game, so she'd arrive in her Eachdraidh attire with a travel pack of basic supplies (listed below) upon arrival.

Conversely it should be noted that her lasso was stolen during her time in game, so unfortunately she won't have it when she arrives, and will be trying to get her hands on a replacement, or will attempt to acquire it later through Ware Wolf shop items.

Worn on her person upon arrival:

♦ One [1] black cloak of invisibility (acquired in-game)
♦ One [1] set of traveling attire/clothing native to Draubworld
♦ One [1] now completely non-functioning network device/magical locket

Inventory Slots:

♦ One [1] travel pack of supplies (food, drink, bandages, rope, and a bedroll)
♦ One [1] change of clothes (Wonder Girl uniform from home)
♦ One [1] set of personalized horse tack (red and black with her hero emblem)
